How much does it cost?
Courses cost about $1,500. Tuition is listed for every microcredential course.
What is the time commitment for a microcredential course?
Learners can expect to spend 3-5 hours per week on learning time and roughly 15-20 hours in total.
Can my Employer pay for the course?
Yes. Our courses are approved as Continuing Education Units, so it’s common for an employer to sponsor their employees’ participation as part of the employees’ continuing growth and education plan.
Are the courses live or pre-recorded?
These short courses are a hybrid model combining asynchronous high-quality multi-media coursework with synchronous weekly live interactions led by Penn State faculty and experts. Although it is online, you will interact directly with faculty, experts, and your peers.
Are there opportunities to connect with others in my industry?
Yes. Our courses provide opportunities to connect via discussions and live sessions.
How are the course topics selected?
Course topics are determined in collaboration with experienced industry professionals. The topics and curriculum are designed to be highly relevant and focused on practical skills that are needed in the engineering industry today.
Do your courses count as CEUs?
Yes. Many of our courses offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
