What makes Microcredentials different?

Microcredentials
Microcredentials are hyper-focused on a single topic or skill and can be taken individually or as part of a series. You’ll gain skills immediately applicable to your job duties.
Microcredentials are more agile and able to adapt more quickly to new or developing technologies. They teach what you need to know now.
Microcredentials typically take about a month to complete while spending only 3-5 hours a week. You can finish them while working a full-time job.

Traditional Degree
Traditional degrees have generalized credit requirements that aren’t immediately relevant to your job duties.
Traditional degrees offer a foundation for learning, which can make courses slower to adapt. You learn how to learn, but not necessarily how to do your job.
Traditional degrees are finished most efficiently as a full-time student, making it difficult to achieve while working full time.
Driving Innovation: Matching the Unprecedented Growth of Technology through Microcredentials
Microcredentialing allows the agility necessary to keep pace with innovation in modern engineering.
